Are people really bookmarking sites?

A seemingly insignificant function on ListSurfing and many other traffic exchanges is the ability to “bookmark” sites as you surf. Bookmarking allows you to save a site that you visit while surfing so that later on, whenever you wish, you can revisit that site. Sometimes you may see a product that interests you or a cool video that you want to show people later that day – click bookmark and check back later!

New and not sure where to begin?

Concepts like traffic exchanges aren’t entirely intuitive if you’re new. We know that some new members have never used a traffic exchange before, and particularly one like ours. Like anything new there can be a learning curve.

Now, you’ll find a series of “Getting Started” steps to help walk you through the process. It isn’t sexy, and we realize that but it also isn’t as painful as you may believe. So, we’ve put together a very simple process to properly setup your account and then get active as fast as possible.

New Squeeze Pages that will Knock Your Socks Off

We love it when a plan comes together to help you bring in new members, referrals and growth. When you launch a new website for the public to use sometimes there are important components to it which are either forgotten or pushed off until later. We realize our splash page, while not even branded to the “ListSurfing 2.0” feel, lacks grabbing attention of your visitors. And so we’ve [finally] published a kick-butt squeeze page series for your use. We certainly hope you like them.

Case Sensitive Passwords, Log-in

Having a strong password, as described in an earlier post, can save you from a long list of problems such as losing commissions, having your skype account hijacked and losing access to your email account. Yes, all three examples have happened to countless people unfortunately.

One fault of creating a password is using all lowercase characters. The difference of ‘password’ versus ‘paSSwoRd’ can actually make a big difference. But, refer to the earlier post to understand how to create a strong, unique password.

Earned Commissions and Getting Paid

Affiliates are the heart of how we grow ListSurfing. When you refer new members we reward you in a few ways, one of which is a sale commission. Anytime one of your referrals upgrades or pays another month or year for their membership you’re rewarded with a % of the sale price. Of course this is nothing new to affiliate marketing.

In the past we have operated on a process where you would get paid when you requested your commission balance. The problem with that process is it is very manual on both the affiliate side and the administration side in addition to potentially causing financial/accounting projection oversights.

Surfing Images: More frequent, More opportunity

Have you surfed at all today? You may have noticed a small but valuable change we’ve made in the surf area. Normally you would see the “Anti-Cheat” image appear on every screen while surfing. While our goal was to help protect against cheaters, we feel as though a change was due to be a little bit more friendly to you, our honest members.

So, what did we do? The short answer is we’ve increased the opportunity to grab more of the traffic from surfing members.

New Thumbnail solution – Say goodbye to blank, white thumbs/images

Today is Thanksgiving and, despite being a Holiday, we’ve worked to share with you some good news for the week!

Since we relaunched in August, we’ve been dealing with a somewhat infamous problem: the white, blank thumbnail. You see this far more often than we ever thought would be the case, and unfortunately it has been an on-going issue. We realize that having proper thumbs/shots for your website you are advertising is very important as we rely on those images for surfing. And as a member, you rely on those images to get other surfers to view your site!

Tired of seeing these nearly infamous blank screens on ListSurfing, while surfing? Yea, so are we.

…and with that, we DO have good news.

Big News: New Reward Codes additions – collect and be an “Owner”

One word that explains how we’re feeling: WOOHOO!! …Does that count as a word?!

A couple weeks ago we wrote about the addition of reward codes which caught the attention of a couple hundred members within 48 hours whom all activated the code. And that’s a hint to anyone who hasn’t activated a reward code yet.

Would you like another code? For those who’ve liked us on Facebook there is a code, but only visible to those connected with us there.

Get rewarded for your activity – “Reward Codes” are activated

We’ve continually been hard at work improving features, updating functionality to fix bugs and of course bringing new features live to improve the overall experience & value of ListSurfing. Today we have exciting news to share about a new addition giving value back to you, our members, for actively using the ListSurfing marketing tool/platform.

Simply put, we’ve called the new addition “Reward Codes”. It’s a relatively simple concept but opens opportunities for you as a member AND as an affiliate. While we’re still adding more functionality, the first phase provides a starting point. Each code offers 1 of 4 rewards: Login Ad Credits, Banner Impressions, Text Impressions, or Mailing Credits.
